St.Joseph’s English Medium School is situated among the three acres of Green land on the outskirts of Marikunnu, Calicut. It is a recognized Christian Minority Institution established in the Year 1996.
The school is owned and managedby the Roman Catholic Diocese of Calicut. The Calicut Diocese was founded on June 12th 1923.The Jesuit Missionaries who are pioneers in modern education gave the real footing for the educational requirement of the people of the Malabar area. The diocese of Calicut took to their heart this educational vision of the Jesuit missionaries and made substantial contribution in the educational scenario of the Malabar region.The contribution to the field of education had its impact in the socio cultural milieu of the region irrespective of caste and religion.

Most Rev. Dr. Varghese Chakkalakal is the Chairman and the Patron of the School. The medium of instruction is English. The school curriculum follows the scheme of work prepared annually by the SCERT. The objective of the School is to provide Quality Education to students of all walks of life, irrespective of caste, creed and religion. Down the years we can say proudly that the students have brought laurels to the School. It stays as a Beacon of Hope for the people of Marikunnu region and far and wide. Today St Joseph's English Medium School has emerged as the benchmark in school education providing ample opportunities for the students for their all round development. The institution is able to ignite the minds and hearts of the students helping them to aim bigger and achieve the mightier.
